Hemp: A Courageous Conversation
The TTM Hemp Study Group is planning a Hemp Extravaganza at the Media UP Free Library. Find out everything you wanted to know about hemp but didn’t know what to ask. We’ll start with a mini-expo, a product showcase of the enormous range of items that can be produced from hemp.

About the event
After a brief intro by PA Senator Tim Kearney on the status of hemp regulation in PA, we’ll hear from a panel of experts in the hemp field. People in the business of growing, processing, selling, and using hemp products will describe their work, highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of using hemp versus the conventional alternatives. Finally, we’ll open it up to questions and discussion.
Panelists include Jerry Irving of BioPhil Natural Fibers, a hemp fiber processor; Anastasia Konopatskaya of Coexist Build, an architectural firm specializing in hempcrete-built buildings and hemp insulation; Shawn House of Lancaster Trading House, maker of Hempzel’s Pretzels and other hemp-based food products; and Tara Zrinski, Director for the All Together Now PA‘s Pot Profits for Pennsylvanians Campaign who will be moderating the panel.
Light hemp-based refreshments will be served.
