Winter 2023 Open House: Rodale Institute
Ring in the holiday season at Rodale Institute! Visitors are invited to come out to the farm to enjoy workshops and other festive crafts and take advantage of sales on everything in the Garden Store.

About the event
The Garden Store is located on Rodale Institute’s home farm in a historic one-room schoolhouse. Inventory includes a wide selection of books, gardening and kitchen tools, apparel and specialty foods and organic treats perfect for your holiday gifts. Our visiting vendors will have the perfect gifts for the season as well. Browse the farms’ library of books, which will be part of a donation based book sale.
Families can enjoy warm drinks around the fire pit and take a photo with Santa for extra holiday joy from 1pm-3pm. Bring your own camera and snag that perfect holiday shot on a decorated wagon. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own holiday wreath or candle. You can even forage the farm to find your perfect wreath materials!
Workshops include:
- Candlemaking – 11 AM – 3 PM – cost $29
- Foraging & wreath making – 11 AM – 4 PM – cost $48
- Wreath making with supplied materials – 11 AM – 4 PM – cost $35
